When I joined the Rugby Club back in 79/80, Roy was finished his playing but was secretary and seemed to be involved in everything. He had one comeback season in 1985/86 and in the first match against Harwell took all the ball against their hooker and told him, "you're really not very good are you" - how to build a young mans confidence up ! He has since been manager of the Colts and many of his "Holt Colts" have done very well with Mark Lee captaining Scotland 7 as the shining example (ut more importantly many are still playing for Witney !). His Dublin Tours are great fun, I just hope his trip this weekend ends with a tinge of disappointment. A small man with a heart that's all Witney and whose cigarettes that are always someone else's !
