| Most Admired International Player |
Keith Woods. A fantastic athlete and ball player. Also nice to see him throw in wonkey occasionally, it keeps the spirits up. Most admired Witney Players: |
| Favourite Rugby Tour | Prague 2002 |
| Most Embarrassing moment on the Pitch | Swindon away, lost too many against the head. |
| Most Embarrasing moment off the Pitch | Simon Reeves learning of the above match from Mark Blacker, as you can imagine Simon was very thoughtful and kind. (Mark be warned, I have a long memory.) |
| Best Match for Witney | Undoubtably the win at Oxford Harlequins this season. The team showed remarkable spirit, strength and skill. A match that will live long in my memory. |
| Worst Match for Witney | Buckingham away in the league a few years ago. This was my first game back after a knee injury, I had missed quite a few weeks. Within 2 minutes of kick off J.C. helped complete a tackle and knackered my ankle. I was subsequently out for the rest of the season. Thanks to Norm for driving my car back. |
| How to improve training | Regular attendance from more senior players would be beneficial to all. The coaches give up their time to improve all of us and their planning often goes to waste when the numbers are not there. |
| Remaining Rugby Ambitions | To win the county cup. |
| Miscellaneous | EDITORS COMMENT Andy is one of the most competitive sportsmen I have known and I am sure the milkman was Australian as his sledging would do that nation proud. He plays to win and usually manages it with a smile on his face, although his footballer alter ego sometimes turns up even now. Also writes a mean match report which usually brings a chuckle to the readers. Has done a great job as skipper of the 1sts this season, I doubt if it will be his last captaining a Witney side. |
