Witney RFC Host the Relay For Life - June 2009
(Thanks to Fin for the photos)
Dear Pat & fellow Committee members
Re: Relay For Life Witney 2009
On behalf of the organising committee I would like to say a sincere thank you to you and Witney RFC for their support as host for this year’s Relay For Life Witney during the weekend of 27th/28th June 2009.
Due to today’s economic climate, the committee did not set out with any great expectations of monetary achievements; but only to raise what we could and aim for the community to have fun in the process. I am glad however to report that the current figure raised is £17,000. There are still four weeks to go until close of online donations, but I am confident that we will hit the £20,000 barrier.
The part that Witney RFC played in this event cannot be underestimated. My special thanks goes to Dave Wicks and the members of the events team who did us proud both not only with their support but the food and venue were something that was highly praised by many. I therefore feel very privileged to have had you on board and sincerely hope that we can count on your support for next year’s Relay and look forward to discussing our future relationship.
Should you require any further information or have any questions about Relay For Life, please do not hesitate to contact me. Once again, thank you so much for your generosity in support of this extremely worthwhile event, both from you, Dave Wicks and the events team.
Yours sincerely
Debbie O’Sullivan
