Birthday Boy Chats Wins the Golf Day
(Thanks to Sarah for the photos)
An excellent day with perfect conditions and the course looking as good as I can remember. Birthday Boy Chats (he can be officially "Grumpy and Old" now) survived his alleged hangover to record a storming 41 points, narrowly beating off fine efforts from Buckie (expensive 7 on the last!) and Monksy. Strutty Jnr won the Longest Drive while the two nearest the pins were won by Monksy and Dave Battersby.
Other Photos to be published this week.
From Paul Bee ......
WRFC Golf Day Mark Godfrey Moment 15/6/10.
On arrival in the car park, JC announced that he was sweating so much that he had generated enough foam in his pants to shave 10 men.
John Williams for placing his ball high on a tee and then hit the tee 20 yards with the ball staying still.
DM for using a Vuvuzela regularly well it sounded like a Vuvuzela and caused staining of his undergarments (youll have to get some Vanish on that Pat).
Larry managed to hit a golf buggy from 3 yards with a badly sliced shot.
Toad had a bad first 2 holes so the clouds of misery descended luckily his golf improved or we would all have had rain.
AT gets a mention for his annual hat wearing.
Paul B gets a mention as the soles of his shoes disintegrated during the front 9.
Aldo managed to break a chair by consuming a large amount of food during the meal.
Tony, JC and the Williams sisters for synchronized DMing (alright Dave!) from the 11th whilst DM was playing the 9th.
DM and Scottie Scottie was being advised by DM on how to share Werthers Originals, discussing incontinence products, the best place to buy cardigans and the best denture adhesive and many other Granddad related topics.
But the special ones were:
Third - Martin Hester used his putter to hit out of the trees he succeeded but bent his putter.
Second - Aldo and James for inventing a system of using the shafts of their clubs and iced water to reduce chaffing in the arse region and Aldo talking James into holding his testicles to air them for him.
The Winner - Reg hit a ball from the 7th fairway near to the 8th tee. To get to the 7th green he needed to play though the wooded area or play back towards the fairway. He chose to go the wooded route. He hit the ball hard and proceeded to hit MTF up the arse. The ball was deemed unplayable and is still being retrieved with the use of Vaseline and a crowbar.
Until next year
