Mark Godfrey Dream XV
Did you make the lineup ?

This is it, put in a disclaimer that this is my own opinion and not that of the management. Also apologise to all the people I have forgotten, if anyone wants to discuss the selection they can buy me a pint and I will be happy to discuss it.

"Fat Boys":
Martin Hester -
Possibly the strongest prop ever, he could lift his opposite man with pure strength and technique. Could also hook a bit.
Andy Merriman -
100%er getting better all the time. Can even throw the ball in sometimes.
Andy Gosling - (Goz)
Superb player when he wants to play. He can raise the whole team but liable to throw toys out of the pram
Shaun Lewis -
Big, strong, good hands could jump and push. could do everything a second row needed to, but did not believe it himself.
Russell Wadsley - (Wogger)
Superb athlete, agile, quick, hard. Always remember the first time we played Oxford in the Cup, totally destroyed Graham Warrington, great to see !
John Bennett - (JB)
The Complete player always seemed to do the right thing at the right time. had a bit of a soft head so he got an occasional rest during a game.
John Campbell - (JC)
Non stop full on in every way. Great motivator lifts the whole team. Good grafter can run and do the dog shyt jobs
Mark Godfrey - (ME)
More the brute force direct approach only ever side stepped if I slipped and as I'm picking the team I'm in it ! As a back row we played together for about 5 seasons. There were better individuals but as a unit we were the best.

"Lesbians":
Gary Pizzey -
The complete scrum half, possibly not the quickest but could pass both ways controlled the forwards and played the short side like a dream.
Franny Grant -
The best out of hand and place kicker we have had. Won us and kept us in more games than I care to remember. He even made 2 tackles in 1 match once.
'G' Rustenberg -
Could play anywhere in the backs. Could do the lot, awesome side step very quick and enjoyed tackling, a forwards back.
Gary Grant -
Super fit, strong runner could make something out of nothing another of Witneys early superstars.
Paul Thomas -
Similar to Gary can turn nothing into something, blistering acceleration, good hands and feet a true play maker.
Ben Dunsmore -
Ever present since first appearing as a spotty youth. Great finisher even better when he learns to dive.
Lee Illlottt - (Bet)
Safe under high ball, monstrous boot, tackled with the best. Great to have behind you. Went on the bigger and better things.... nearly
